For my entire life, my career and passion has been to assist students with learning challenges. I help students in various sectors of reading, including comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, and decoding. It is a joy for me to witness students learn to read better.In addition to learning to read better, many of my students start to love to read also! When teaching, I enjoy teaching new skills and reinforcing old skills by finding and creating activities that are motivating. It is my belief that being successful can be learned, and it is my pleasure to be a facilitator for that accomplishment.The subjects that I tutor include the following: Reading, Phonics, Grammar and Mechanics, Special Education, Elementary Math, Study Skills and Organization, Writing, English, and others.I attended the University of South Florida and the University of New England. I am located in Sugar Land, Texas, and when I am not tutoring, I can be found swimming, reading, playing with my grandkids, and attending church activities.
